Corpus Christi Beaches Are In Danger Of Being Closed To Vehicular Traffic. This would end a long tradition of families, surfers, fishermen, beachcombers and others of parking anywhere on the beach they wanted to, and with all their gear.

1973 Comic Strip!

This s a comic strip I drew back in 1973, I was living in Santa Barbara at the time. I came back to Corpus Christi for a visit and I was appalled at all of the development taking place on Padre Island and Mustang Island.
Compared to today it was nothing but I could see the writing on the wall.
At that time there were no beach parking lots or charges for beach parking but it was in the wind.Most then thought things like this would never happen.
